Applus+ in the USA authorized to support a US congressional report under the PIPES Act
Our engineering experts at Applus+ Kiefner have been given authorization by an information technology and solutions provider to support the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) through its subcontractors by executing in-depth research and providing subject matter expertise to evaluate the need, costs, and benefits for a government research laboratory.
According to the US Department of Transportation, The Pipes Act of 2020 strengthens PHMSA’s safety authority and ensures that all measures are taken to produce effective solutions to secure the safe transportation of energy and hazardous materials.
Since the commencement of this project in 2022, our Applus+ Kiefner experts have evaluated past PHMSA projects and PHMSA’s R&D database to look for gaps and completion rates, with the causal factors for those outcomes; researched funding grants; and have evaluated public outreach forums held by the US government.
The Applus+ Kiefner group applies the latest knowledge and technologies to evaluate, improve, develop, and enhance client products, services, or facilities. The group’s capabilities make Kiefner the ideal technological partner to provide organizations within the pipeline transportation industry with necessary improvements and practical solutions to complex problems.
The project is in progress. Additional findings will be provided soon. For more information, contact our engineering and consultancy services team.
