Applus+ ranks in first place out of 20 listed mid-cap Spanish companies in the SE Mid Spanish Index of Standard Ethics. This organisation has rated Applus+ as “Sustainable” with a classification of EE+, which is described as “Very Strong”. The rating, originally issued in December 2021, was unsolicited. Standard Ethics issues them to corporations and administrations in order to update indices and country rankings.

Applus+ has been chosen by S&P Global as one of the best companies in the world for ESG in their S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment. The agency ranked Applus+ as the 11th best company (out of 105 companies in its sector), with a score of 54 (out of 100) in the Environmental/Social/Economic dimension (Score date: Nov 12, 2021). The average score among all the companies analysed was 24 points.

Sustainalytics has rated at 15.6 Applus+’ ESG risk level, which places the company in the "Low Risk" group of companies.

The Group has been ranked worldwide among the top 11% of all the companies analysed.

Sustainalytics highlights the company's "robust" management of these risks, which is above average in its sector.

Applus+ has received a score of 71 out of 100 by Gaïa Rating on their evaluation of transparency initiatives that the Group has implemented to improve its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) indicators, and their performance.

The company has now entered the top twenty percent of companies evaluated on the Gaïa Rating index.

Applus+ has furthered its commitment to transparency by disclosing the Group's environmental impact through CDP. This organisation has awarded Applus+ with a "B" rating for its transformative actions to tackle the global challenge of climate change.

Applus+ has been included in the FTSE4Good IBEX, a market-leading tool for investors to identify Spanish companies with leading corporate responsibility practices and good sustainability practices (ESG ratings). For inclusion in the index, companies need to meet a variety of strict environmental, social and governance criteria.

Applus+ has been recognised by the Premios Ciudadanos (Citizens Awards), at the Spanish Ministry of Economic Affairs, as the best company in the Social category for its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, aligned with nine of the seventeen UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

The awards highlighted the Group's strategic priorities, aimed directly at the workforce, at reinforcing its commitment to the stakeholders, at maintaining a sustainable performance, good corporate governance, business ethics, and innovation.

MSCI ESG Research has recognised Applus+ with an "AA" rating.

The "AA" comes under the MSCI ESG Research category of Leader, and the assingment recognises notable actions, stewardship and attitudes of Applus+ in managing the most significant ESG (environmental, social and governance) risks and opportunities. The "AA" rating establishes the Group as one of the world’s sustainability leaders in the testing, inspection and certification industry.

The Group's  Automotive Division, through its Riteve brand in Costa Rica, has received a FIA Americas Award from the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) for its contribution to improving road safety and promoting respect for the environment. This recognition reinforces the Group's commitment to social initiatives in Costa Rica, contributing to greener and safer mobility.

The FIA also recognised Jennifer Hidalgo, Riteve’s Deputy Director for Communications and Social Responsibility, for her role in the brand’s campaigns for sustainable driving.

The FIA is globally renowned for its promotion, not only of sport, but also of safety, sustainability and accessibility for the benefit of road-users all around the world.
